This page explains how Plenrise conducts research, what standards apply to every study and what you should expect from each report.

How research is conducted

Every Plenrise study is managed by an experienced research specialist from brief confirmation through to report delivery. We do not rely on automated, unreviewed outputs. Each research question is reviewed for clarity and suitability before fieldwork begins. Surveys and discussion guides are designed to avoid leading questions, loaded language and order effects that could bias findings.

Participant recruitment and verification

Participants are recruited from verified panels of real people who have opted in to take part in research. Plenrise applies quality controls including attention checks, response-time screening, open-ended response review and duplicate detection. Participants who do not meet quality thresholds are excluded before analysis. B2B participants are verified against stated professional roles and company attributes.

Sample sizes and statistical confidence

Every report states the number of participants, the methodology used and the confidence level applicable to the findings. Standard Plenrise packages use samples of 25 to 100 participants and are designed to produce directional, decision-relevant findings — not statistically projectable population estimates. Where larger samples or statistical significance testing are required, Plenrise will recommend an appropriate study design.

Reporting standards

Reports are written to be understood by non-researchers. Every report states the research question addressed, the audience recruited, the methodology used, the key findings and a clear Proceed, Modify or Not Yet recommendation. Every report also includes a limitations section that honestly describes what the research cannot confirm. Plenrise does not overstate findings or suppress contradictory evidence.

Data privacy and participant protection

Participant data is collected, stored and processed in compliance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988, the UK GDPR and applicable data protection legislation. Individual participant responses are never shared with clients. Reports contain only aggregated, anonymised findings. Participants are informed of the purpose of research, their right to withdraw and how their data will be used before they take part.

Research brief confirmation

Plenrise will not commence fieldwork until the research brief has been confirmed in writing by both parties. The confirmed brief states the research question, the target audience, the methodology, the deliverables and the timeline. Changes to the brief after confirmation may affect delivery timelines and pricing, which will be advised before changes are implemented.

Limitations and what research cannot tell you

Research with 25–100 participants is designed to inform decisions, not replace them. Findings reflect the views of people who participated at a point in time. Markets, competitor landscapes and customer preferences change. Stated preferences in a research context do not always predict real behaviour at purchase. Plenrise is transparent about these limitations in every report and will advise when a different study design is more appropriate for your question.

Complaints and quality concerns

If you believe a report does not meet the standards described above or that an error has been made, Plenrise will investigate and respond within 5 business days. Where an error in research design or execution is confirmed, Plenrise will either re-run the affected component at no cost or provide an appropriate remedy.
