Scope
This Research Service Agreement ("Agreement") governs each research project conducted by Plenrise on behalf of a client. It is read together with the Plenrise Terms of Service.
By confirming a research brief, you (the "Client") agree to be bound by this Agreement in respect of that research project.
Brief confirmation
Fieldwork does not commence until Plenrise has confirmed the research brief in writing and the Client has approved the confirmed brief.
The confirmed brief sets out the research question, target audience, methodology, deliverables and indicative timeline. It forms part of the Agreement for each project.
Material changes to a confirmed brief requested by the Client after confirmation may affect the timeline and cost of the project. Plenrise will advise the Client before any change is implemented.
Methodology
Plenrise selects methodology based on the confirmed research question, target audience and budget. The methodology is described in the confirmed brief.
Plenrise may adjust methodology during fieldwork where necessary to maintain research quality, provided the adjustment does not fundamentally change the research question or materially affect the deliverables. The Client will be notified of any material adjustment.
Participants
Plenrise recruits participants from verified opt-in research panels. Participant numbers are as stated in the confirmed brief.
Where a participant target cannot be fully met due to panel availability, Plenrise will advise the Client before completing fieldwork. Plenrise will not deliver a report based on a materially insufficient sample without the Client's agreement.
For B2B research, participant feasibility is assessed before the brief is confirmed. Plenrise does not guarantee B2B participant availability but will advise of any feasibility risk before fieldwork commences.
Deliverables
Plenrise will deliver a written decision report as described in the confirmed brief. The report will include findings, a recommendation and a limitations section.
Reports are delivered to the Client's Plenrise dashboard. Plenrise will notify the Client by email when the report is available.
Timelines stated in the confirmed brief are indicative. Plenrise will advise the Client promptly if a timeline cannot be met.
Payment terms
Payment is required before fieldwork commences. Plenrise will issue a payment request following brief confirmation.
For agency plans, fees are billed monthly in advance as described in the plan terms.
Refunds and remedies
If the Client requests cancellation before fieldwork commences, a full refund will be provided.
Once fieldwork has commenced, refunds are not available for work already completed. If the Client requests cancellation after fieldwork has commenced, any unused portion of the fee will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
If Plenrise is unable to complete a project due to participant availability or a material methodology failure, Plenrise will offer a partial refund, credit or re-run of the affected component.
If the Client believes a report contains an error attributable to Plenrise's execution, the Client must notify Plenrise within 10 business days of report delivery. Plenrise will investigate and respond within 5 business days. Where a confirmed error is found, Plenrise will correct the affected component or provide a credit.
Confidentiality
Plenrise treats all research briefs, participant data and reports as confidential. Research findings and report content will not be shared with third parties except as required to deliver the service or as required by law.
The Client agrees to maintain the confidentiality of Plenrise's methodologies, pricing and internal processes.
Intellectual property
Ownership of the research report is transferred to the Client upon full payment of the applicable fee.
Plenrise retains ownership of all methodology, survey instruments, panel relationships and analysis frameworks used in the production of reports. These are not transferred to the Client.
Research limitations and reliance
Research findings are provided for decision support purposes. Plenrise makes no warranty that findings will accurately predict market outcomes, commercial performance or the success of decisions made in reliance on them.
Each report states the methodology, sample size, confidence level and limitations applicable to the findings. The Client is responsible for taking these limitations into account when making decisions.
