Getting started
How does Plenrise work?+
You submit a research brief describing the decision you need to make, your product or service and the audience you want to reach. Plenrise confirms the brief, recruits relevant participants, conducts the research and delivers a decision-ready report. The entire process is managed for you.
Do I need any research experience to use Plenrise?+
No. Plenrise is designed for founders, product managers and business leaders who need research insights without a research background. You describe the decision — Plenrise handles the methodology, recruitment and analysis.
How long does a study take?+
Standard studies are delivered in 5–15 working days depending on the service. Idea Validation typically takes 5–7 days. Product and market validation studies take 7–10 days. Larger studies and B2B research take 10–20 days. Timelines are confirmed when the brief is approved.
Can I talk to someone before starting?+
Yes. Use the Contact form to describe your situation and a member of the Plenrise team will respond within 1–2 business days. For custom or B2B research, we will schedule a call to discuss feasibility before any proposal is provided.
Research briefs
What makes a good research question?+
A good research question is focused on a single decision, not a general topic. 'Is this a good idea?' is too broad. 'Is daily scheduling management a significant enough pain point for parents of school-aged children to justify a paid app?' is specific enough to research.
Can I change my research question after submitting?+
You can refine your brief during the confirmation stage before fieldwork begins. Once fieldwork has commenced, changes to the research question may affect the study design, timeline and cost. Plenrise will advise before any changes are implemented.
What happens if the research does not answer my question?+
Plenrise will not commence fieldwork until the brief has been confirmed as answerable given the methodology, sample and scope. If findings are inconclusive because the question was genuinely uncertain, the report will state this honestly and suggest a next step.
Participants and recruitment
Who are the research participants?+
Participants are recruited from verified opt-in research panels of real people. Consumer studies draw from general population panels with demographic and behavioural filters. B2B studies recruit from professional panels verified by role, industry and company size.
How are participants verified?+
Plenrise applies multiple quality controls: participant screening questions, attention checks within the survey, response-time monitoring, open-ended response review and duplicate detection. Participants who fail quality thresholds are removed before analysis.
Can I specify a very niche or hard-to-reach audience?+
Most consumer audiences can be reached. B2B and professional audiences take longer and cost more due to recruitment complexity. For very specialist audiences — clinical professionals, senior executives, regulated industries — we will assess feasibility before accepting the brief and will advise on realistic timelines.
Are participants paid?+
Yes. Research participants receive a panel incentive for their time. Plenrise manages participant incentives as part of the research cost. Clients do not pay incentives directly.
Reports and findings
What does a Plenrise report include?+
Every report includes: the confirmed research question, the methodology and sample used, key findings presented clearly, a Proceed, Modify or Not Yet recommendation with supporting reasoning, a confidence level assessment and a limitations section. Reports are written in plain language without jargon.
What do Proceed, Modify and Not Yet mean?+
Proceed means the evidence supports moving forward with the decision as stated. Modify means there is genuine signal but the brief, concept or approach needs adjustment before proceeding. Not Yet means the evidence does not support proceeding at this stage — either the problem is not sufficiently validated, interest is too low, or a significant assumption has not held up.
Can I share the report with investors or stakeholders?+
Yes. Reports are formatted for external use and include methodology and confidence statements that make findings credible to a third-party reader. For agency clients, report branding options are available.
How long do I have access to my reports?+
Reports are stored in your Plenrise dashboard and remain accessible for as long as your account is active.
Pricing and payment
What is included in each price?+
Each package price includes brief confirmation, participant recruitment, fieldwork, analysis and the final decision report. There are no additional fees for standard packages. B2B research has a separate pricing tier due to recruitment costs.
When do I pay?+
Payment is required before fieldwork commences. Plenrise accepts payment by credit card or bank transfer. Agency plan billing is monthly in advance.
Do you offer refunds?+
If fieldwork has not commenced, a full refund is available. Once fieldwork has commenced, refunds are not available for work completed. If Plenrise cannot complete a study due to participant availability or methodology issues, an alternative remedy or partial refund will be offered.
Are prices in Australian dollars?+
Yes. All prices listed on the Plenrise website are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. For international clients, payments are processed in AUD and currency conversion is managed by your bank or payment provider.
Privacy and data
Can I see individual participant responses?+
No. Individual responses are never shared with clients. All reports contain only aggregated, anonymised findings. This protects participant privacy and is a condition of using opt-in research panels.
How is my data stored and protected?+
Client data is stored on servers within Australia and the United Kingdom. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Plenrise complies with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and UK GDPR. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
Will my research question or findings be shared with other clients?+
No. All research briefs, participant data and reports are held in strict confidence. Plenrise does not share, sell or use client research data for any purpose other than delivering the agreed service.
For agencies
Can I use Plenrise for client work?+
Yes. Plenrise agency plans are designed for agencies running research on behalf of clients. Each client project is held in a separate workspace. Branded and co-branded report options are available.
Is there a minimum commitment for agency plans?+
Yes. Agency plans require a minimum three-month commitment. After the initial term, plans continue on a rolling monthly basis with 30 days' notice for cancellation.
Can I get a custom agency arrangement?+
Yes. For high-volume agencies, enterprise clients or those with specific billing or confidentiality requirements, contact Plenrise to discuss a custom arrangement.
Custom and B2B research
What counts as B2B research?+
B2B research involves recruiting professional participants — typically people who buy or use products or services in a work context. This includes managers, executives, department leads, technical specialists and business owners. B2B recruitment takes longer and costs more than consumer research due to panel access and verification requirements.
When should I choose custom research over a standard package?+
Choose custom research when your question spans multiple countries, requires a very large or statistically representative sample, involves a regulated or specialist audience that consumer panels cannot reach, or requires a mixed-method design. Custom studies start from $25,000 and require a scoping conversation before a proposal is provided.
How long does a custom study take?+
Custom study timelines are agreed at the proposal stage and depend on scope, audience, methodology and geography. Multi-country studies typically take 4–10 weeks. We will confirm a realistic timeline before any project begins.
Quality and concerns
What if I am not satisfied with a report?+
If you believe a report contains an error or does not meet the standard described at the time of purchase, contact Plenrise within 10 business days of delivery. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days. Where a confirmed error is found, Plenrise will either correct the affected component or provide an appropriate remedy.
How does Plenrise ensure research quality?+
Every study is managed by an experienced research specialist. Briefs are reviewed before fieldwork begins. Participants are screened and quality-checked. Findings are reviewed by a senior researcher before reports are issued. Every report is reviewed against the confirmed brief before delivery.
Who can I contact for support?+
Use the Contact form on the Plenrise website. For agency and enterprise clients, a dedicated contact is assigned at account setup.
